Ingredients
- 1 kg Baby Carrots (colorful)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 200 ml Red Wine
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the carrots and trim the ends.
- 2. Heat the olive oil in a pan.
- 3. Add the carrots to the hot pan and sauté them briefly.
- 4. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the carrots.
- 5. Let the carrots caramelize until the sugar melts and turns golden brown.
- 6. Deglaze the pan with the red wine.
- 7. Simmer the carrots for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.
- 8. Season the dish with balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- 9. Serve the caramelized carrots warm.
