🍰 Crunchy Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients
- 1 tsp Butter
- 250 g Popcorn kernels
- 50 g Demerara sugar
- 30 ml Water
Instructions
- 1. Put the butter and the corn kernels together in a pot.
- 2. Heat the pot on medium heat.
- 3. Close the lid as soon as the first corn kernels start to pop.
- 4. Turn off the stove immediately.
- 5. Leave the pot on the turned-off stove until all kernels have popped.
- 6. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning.
- 7. Transfer the finished popcorn into a wide bowl.
- 8. Put water and whole cane sugar into a clean pot.
- 9. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 10. Reduce the heat as soon as the caramel turns amber-colored at the edge of the pot.
- 11. Swirl the pot to ensure the sugar caramelizes evenly.
- 12. Remove the pot from the heat when the caramel is light brown.
- 13. Drizzle the hot caramel immediately over the popcorn.
- 14. Stir the popcorn quickly to coat it evenly.
- 15. Let the caramel popcorn cool down for a moment.
