Ingredients
- 500 g green fig
- 100 g grape sugar
- 400 g sugar
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the figs thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Place the washed figs into a pot.
- 3. Cover the fruits completely with water.
- 4. Boil the figs for 10 minutes.
- 5. Remove the figs from the pot and let them drain well.
- 6. Stir grape sugar and regular sugar into the cooking liquid in the pot.
- 7. Let the sugar solution stand for at least 12 hours.
- 8. Heat the sugar water to 110 degrees Celsius.
- 9. Pour the hot sugar water over the drained figs.
- 10. Wait 24 hours until the syrup has cooled.
- 11. Drain the syrup off the figs.
- 12. Heat the drained syrup again to 110 degrees Celsius.
- 13. Pour the hot syrup back over the figs.
- 14. Repeat steps 10 to 13 at least four more times.
- 15. Drain the final syrup off the figs.
- 16. Place the figs in a warm spot.
- 17. Let the figs dry for at least 24 hours.
