  4. 4. Slice the apple pieces into thin wedges.
  5. 5. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
  6. 6. Dry the lemon.
  7. 7. Finely grate the lemon zest.
  8. 8. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  9. 9. Place the apple wedges in a bowl.
  10. 10. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice.
  11. 11. Add one tablespoon of lemon zest.
  12. 12. Add cinnamon.
  13. 13. Add maple syrup.
  14. 14. Mix everything well in the bowl.
  15. 15. Whisk low-fat quark, egg, oil, milk, and vanilla powder vigorously with a whisk.
  16. 16. Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to the quark mixture.
