- 600 g Marzipan mass
- 260 g powdered sugar
- 20 g cocoa powder
- 20 g coffee powder (instant)
- 50 g dark chocolate coating
- chocolate coffee bean (for decoration)
Instructions
- 1. Take 400 grams of marzipan raw mass and knead it with 200 grams of powdered sugar until you have a smooth dough.
- 2. Divide the remaining marzipan into two equal halves.
- 3. Knead one half thoroughly with cocoa, coffee, and the remaining powdered sugar until it is dark and aromatic.
- 4. Take the light marzipan half and roll it out between two sheets of foil into a plate about 30 by 30 centimeters.
- 5. Repeat this process with the dark marzipan half and roll it out to the same size as well.
- 6. Dip a pastry brush in water and lightly moisten the underside of the light plate.
- 7. Place the dark plate exactly on top of the moistened light plate.
- 8. Also lightly moisten the top of the dark plate with the brush.
- 9. Place the second light plate on top, so that the dark layer is exactly in the middle.
- 10. Gently press the three layers together so they stick well.
- 11. Cut the layered marzipan into small squares of 4 by 1.5 centimeters for the domino squares.
- 12. Cut the rest into small cubes of 1.5 by 1.5 centimeters.
- 13. Let the pieces dry briefly in the air so they become firm.
- 14. Melt the chocolate over a hot water bath until it is liquid.
- 15. Dab some chocolate onto the domino squares to decorate them.
- 16. Place a small chocolate dot in the center of each cube.
- 17. Gently press a chocolate bean into the dot on the cube.
- 18. Let the sweets dry completely.
- 19. Store them in a closed container, separating the layers with paper.
