  1. 1. Remove the seeds from the peppers, wash them, and pat them dry.
  2. 2. Cut the peppers into very small cubes.
  3. 3. Heat the olive oil in a pan.
  4. 4. Fry the pepper cubes in the hot oil.
  5. 5. Finely chop the peeled tomatoes.
  6. 6. Add the chopped tomatoes to the peppers in the pan.
  7. 7. Season the mixture with salt, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.
  8. 8. Let the vegetables simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
  9. 9. Puree the mixture until smooth using a hand blender.
  10. 10. Finish the puree with a squeeze of lemon juice.
  11. 11. Spread the butter evenly over 4 slices of toast bread.
  12. 12. Heat a separate pan.
  13. 13. Place the toast slices in the hot pan with the buttered side facing down.
  14. 14. Fry the toast slices until golden brown.
  15. 15. Remove the toast slices from the pan.
  16. 16. Top the fried side of each toast slice with half of the cheese slices.
  17. 17. Spread the paprika-tomato puree over the cheese slices.
  18. 18. Add a dollop of crème fraîche onto the puree.
  19. 19. Peel half of the avocado.
  20. 20. Slice the avocado into thin slices.
  21. 21. Place the avocado slices immediately onto the crème fraîche layer.
  22. 22. Top the sandwiches with the remaining cheese.
  23. 23. Cover the sandwiches with the 4 toast slices.
  24. 24. Press the sandwiches down gently.
  25. 25. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  26. 26. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  27. 27. Bake the sandwiches in the oven until golden yellow and the cheese has melted.
  28. 28. Remove the sandwiches from the oven.
  29. 29. Cut each sandwich diagonally in half.
  30. 30. Serve the sandwiches immediately.
