🍽️ Cheese Skewers from the Grill

Ingredients
- 500 g Alpine cheese
- 8 slices toast bread
- 10 cornichons
- pepper (from the mill)
- Mixed pickles (to serve)
Instructions
- 1. Remove the crust from the cheese and the toast bread.
- 2. Cut the cheese and the bread into small, bite-sized cubes.
- 3. Cut the cornichons (small sour gherkins) in half crosswise.
- 4. Thread a piece of cornichon, a cheese cube, and a bread cube onto a skewer in an alternating pattern.
- 5. Hold the skewers over the hot embers of the grill.
- 6. Rotate the skewers repeatedly until the cheese becomes soft and starts to melt.
- 7. Sprinkle fresh pepper over the skewers immediately.
- 8. Serve the skewers immediately while hot.
