🍽️ Cheese Fondue

Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves
- 350 g Emmental
- 350 g Gruyère cheese
- 400 ml dry white wine
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 20 ml Kirsch
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic cloves and halve one clove.
- 2. Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the half garlic clove.
- 3. Slice the remaining garlic cloves thinly.
- 4. Grate the cheese coarsely.
- 5. Add the grated cheese, garlic slices, and wine to the pot.
- 6. Melt the ingredients on the stove over low heat.
- 7. Mix the cornstarch smoothly with the kirsch (cherry brandy).
- 8. Add the starch-water mixture to the fondue.
- 9. Stir everything well.
- 10. Warm the fondue for another five minutes until it has thickened.
- 11. Season the fondue with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- 12. Place the pot on a rechaud (small heating stand) and set the heat to low.
- 13. Dip cubes of white bread with fondue forks and enjoy.
