  4. 4. Rub the inside of the pot with the garlic.
  5. 5. Pour the wine into the fondue pot.
  6. 6. Heat the wine in the pot.
  7. 7. Grate the cheese finely while doing this.
  8. 8. Add the grated cheese to the heated wine.
  9. 9. Set the heat to medium.
  10. 10. Stir the mixture constantly.
  11. 11. Mix everything into a smooth cream.
  12. 12. Mix the cornstarch with a little kirsch into a smooth paste.
  13. 13. Stir the starch mixture into the cheese mixture.
  14. 14. Let the mixture boil once briefly.
  15. 15. Season the fondue with salt.
  16. 16. Season the fondue with pepper.
  17. 17. Season the fondue with nutmeg.
  18. 18. Place the pot on a fondue burner.
  19. 19. Set the heat supply to low.
  20. 20. Cut the bread into cubes.
  21. 21. Skewer the bread cubes onto the fondue forks.
  22. 22. Dip the bread cubes into the hot fondue.
