🍝 Crispy Garlic Croutons on Cheesy Spaghettini

Ingredients
- 150 g white bread
- 3 garlic cloves
- 80 g butter
- 100 g freshly grated parmesan
- 500 g spaghettini
- salt
- white pepper (from the mill)
- as desired herb leaf (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Tear the white bread into small, bite-sized cubes.
- 2. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 3. Slice one of the garlic cloves into thin slices.
- 4. Heat two tablespoons of butter in a frying pan.
- 5. Fry the bread pieces in the butter until golden brown.
- 6. Add the remaining whole garlic cloves to the pan.
- 7. Press the garlic cloves down slightly with a spoon.
- 8. Remove the finished croutons from the pan.
- 9. Place the croutons on a tray lined with kitchen paper.
- 10. Let the excess fat absorb from the croutons.
- 11. Foam the remaining butter in the hot pan.
- 12. Add the previously sliced garlic cloves to the pan.
- 13. Fry the garlic slices until they are light brown.
- 14. Stir the Parmesan into the butter-garlic mixture.
- 15. Cook the spaghettini in plenty of salted water according to package instructions.
- 16. Reserve 80 to 100 milliliters of the pasta water.
- 17. Drain the pasta.
- 18. Let the pasta drain well.
- 19. Add the spaghettini to the cheese-butter mixture in the pan.
- 20. Stir the reserved pasta water into the pasta.
- 21. Season the pasta with salt and pepper.
- 22. Serve the pasta on plates.
- 23. Sprinkle the pasta with the crispy garlic croutons.
- 24. Garnish the dishes with fresh herbs if desired.
