🍽️ Crispy Cheese and Ham Sandwich

Ingredients
- 8 slices whole wheat toast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 handful frisée lettuce
- 2 stems basil
- 1 small red onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 8 slices turkey ham
- 8 slices prosciutto
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the grill function of your oven and preheat it.
- 2. Lightly brush the toast slices with oil.
- 3. Place the toast slices under the grill.
- 4. Toast the bread slices until crispy on both sides.
- 5. Wash the tomatoes under running water.
- 6. Cut out the hard stem area from the tomatoes.
- 7. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
- 8. Rinse the salad greens and basil under cold water.
- 9. Shake the greens and herbs dry.
- 10. Tear the basil leaves into small pieces.
- 11. Peel the onion.
- 12. Cut the onion in half.
- 13. Cut the onion halves into thin strips.
- 14. Peel the garlic clove.
- 15. Cut the garlic clove in half.
- 16. Rub one side of the toast slices with the cut surface of the garlic.
- 17. Take four toast slices.
- 18. Top the toast slices with the washed salad greens.
- 19. Place the tomato slices on top of the salad.
- 20. Distribute both types of ham over the tomatoes.
- 21. Place the cheese slices on top of the ham.
- 22. Sprinkle the sliced onions over the cheese.
- 23. Sprinkle the chopped basil leaves over the onions.
- 24. Lightly brush the assembled toast slices with oil again.
- 25. Place the second toast slice on top.
- 26. Serve the sandwiches immediately.
