🍽️ Cheese Pumpernickel Towers with Meatballs

Ingredients
- 32 Pumpernickel coins
- Butter
- 250 g sliced cheese (in slices)
- 400 g mixed minced meat
- 1 stale rolls
- 1 shallot
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tsp mustard
- Ghee (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the pumpernickel into 16 equal round slices.
- 2. Cut the cheese into 8 rounds that are exactly the same size as the pumpernickel slices.
- 3. Spread butter on one side of 8 pumpernickel rounds.
- 4. Place an unbuttered pumpernickel slice on top of each buttered slice.
- 5. Spread butter on the top side of these new slices as well.
- 6. Place one cheese round on the buttered side of each.
- 7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 to build a second layer.
- 8. Place an unbuttered pumpernickel slice on top to form a third layer.
- 9. Cut out small flags from cardboard or wood and insert them into the towers.
- 10. Arrange the finished towers decoratively on a plate.
- 11. Soak the bread roll in water.
- 12. Squeeze the bread roll well so that no water remains.
- 13. Peel the shallot and chop it very finely.
- 14. Mix the minced meat with the squeezed bread, shallot, salt, pepper, and mustard.
- 15. Form small meatballs from the mixture.
- 16. Heat clarified butter in a pan.
- 17. Fry the meatballs in the hot fat until golden brown all over.
- 18. Cut a piece of cucumber for decoration.
- 19. Place a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on the plate.
- 20. Decorate the dish with the meatballs and the cucumber piece.
