  4. 4. Place about one-third of the cheese mixture into a jar.
  5. 5. Top the cheese layer with the basil leaves.
  6. 6. Season the layer with a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper.
  7. 7. Drizzle a little olive oil over the layers.
  8. 8. Spread another layer of cheese cream on top.
  9. 9. Repeat steps 4 to 8 until all ingredients are used up.
  10. 10. Let the jar sit in the refrigerator for a full day to allow the flavors to meld.
  11. 11. You can store the layers in the refrigerator for up to one week.
