  3. 3. Beat the batter vigorously with a whisk.
  4. 4. Let the batter rest, covered, for one hour.
  5. 5. Cut the cheese into slices about 0.5 cm thick.
  6. 6. Cut the cheese slices into squares about 5 cm in size.
  7. 7. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 180 degrees Celsius.
  8. 8. Test the heat: Hold a wooden stick into the oil until small bubbles form.
  9. 9. Whip the cold egg whites until stiff.
  10. 10. Gently fold the egg whites into the beer batter.
  11. 11. Dip the cheese squares into the batter using a fork.
  12. 12. Let excess batter drip off the cheese.
  13. 13. Fry the cheese pieces one by one until golden brown in the hot oil.
  14. 14. Place the finished pieces on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
  15. 15. Keep the finished cheese pieces warm in the oven at 80 degrees Celsius.
