  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the jostaberries.
  2. 2. Let the berries drain well in a colander.
  3. 3. Place the berries in a pot and add about 250 milliliters of water (per kilogram of berries).
  4. 4. Heat the mixture while stirring constantly until it has boiled briefly.
  5. 5. Strain the juice through a cloth or sieve and let it drip.
  6. 6. Measure exactly 1 liter of the drained juice.
  7. 7. Add 1 kilogram of pectin sugar to the juice.
  8. 8. Let the mixture boil vigorously for 4 minutes while stirring.
  9. 9. Fill the hot jelly immediately into clean jars.
