🍳 Redcurrant Apricot Jam

Ingredients
- 500 g apricots (cleaned, weighed)
- 500 g red currants (cleaned, weighed)
- 1 kg jam sugar
- juice of one lemon
Instructions
- 1. Place the apricots, redcurrants, jam sugar, and lemon juice in a large pot.
- 2. Stir the ingredients well.
- 3. Cover the pot.
- 4. Let the mixture stand for three hours.
- 5. Wait until juice has formed from the fruit.
- 6. Wash the jars and lids with very hot water.
- 7. Let the water drain from the jars.
- 8. Place the pot with the fruit mixture on the stove.
- 9. Heat the mixture over high heat.
- 10. Stir constantly.
- 11. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 12. Wait until the entire mixture is bubbling vigorously.
- 13. Let the jam boil vigorously for four minutes.
- 14. Continue stirring during this time.
- 15. Fill the hot jam to the brim into the prepared jars.
- 16. Seal the jars immediately.
- 17. Turn the jars upside down for five minutes.
- 18. Then let the jars cool down completely.
