🍳 Fresh Homemade Redcurrant Jam

Ingredients
- 1 kg redcurrants
- 500 g jam sugar (2:1)
- 3 tbsp raspberry brandy
- 2 limes (juice and zest)
Instructions
- 1. Take half of the cleaned and dried redcurrants.
- 2. Mash these berries into a fine pulp using a fork.
- 3. Add the raspberry spirit, pectin sugar, the zest and juice of the two well-washed limes.
- 4. Mix the mixture with the remaining whole berries.
- 5. Let the mixture infuse for about 30 minutes.
- 6. Cook the mixture for the time specified on the sugar package, stirring constantly.
- 7. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 8. Fill the jam into the well-washed jars almost to the brim.
- 9. Seal the jars immediately.
- 10. Let them cool upside down.
- 11. Turn the jars right side up after 5 minutes.
- 12. Let them rest in this position.
