🍰 Redcurrant Blueberry Gruel

Ingredients
- 250 g red currants
- 100 g small strawberries
- 300 g blueberries
- 75 g sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 200 ml red currant juice
- 0.5 lemon (juice)
- 25 g cornstarch
Instructions
- 1. Carefully pick the redcurrants off the stems.
- 2. Remove any damaged or unripe berries from the mix.
- 3. Wash all the berries thoroughly under running water.
- 4. Let the water drain off the berries.
- 5. Set aside exactly 50 grams of the blueberries.
- 6. Put the remaining blueberries, the strawberries, and the redcurrants into a saucepan.
- 7. Sprinkle the fruit with regular sugar and vanilla sugar.
- 8. Pour the lemon juice and the redcurrant juice into the pot.
- 9. Heat the mixture slowly.
- 10. Let the fruit mixture simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes.
- 11. Stir the cornstarch into a small amount of cold water until smooth and lump-free.
- 12. Pour the mixed starch into the warm fruit mixture.
- 13. Keep stirring until the mixture comes to a boil.
- 14. Pour the hot gruel into a bowl.
- 15. Let the gruel cool down.
- 16. Cover the bowl.
- 17. Place the bowl in the refrigerator.
- 18. Sprinkle the cold gruel with the remaining blueberries before serving.
- 19. Enjoy the gruel plain or with yogurt and quark.
