  2. 2. Remove the green stems and cut the berries into small pieces.
  3. 3. Place the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice into the blender.
  4. 4. Blend the mixture until it forms a smooth puree.
  5. 5. Stir the yogurt into the strawberry mixture.
  6. 6. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  7. 7. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the yogurt mixture.
  8. 8. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker.
  9. 9. Freeze the ice cream according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  10. 10. Wash the basil leaves in the meantime.
  11. 11. Shake off excess water from the basil.
  12. 12. Pluck the leaves off the stems.
  13. 13. Chop the basil leaves finely.
  14. 14. Wait until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  15. 15. Add the chopped basil leaves to the ice cream maker.
  16. 16. Continue freezing the ice cream for about 5 more minutes.
  17. 17. Spoon the ice cream into small bowls.
  18. 18. Garnish the ice cream with fresh basil leaves.
