  3. 3. Wash the lemon thoroughly.
  4. 4. Pat the lemon dry as well.
  5. 5. Squeeze half of the lemon to extract the juice.
  6. 6. Whisk the oil together with the fresh lemon juice in a bowl.
  7. 7. Toss the scallops in the oil-lemon mixture until they are well coated.
  8. 8. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  9. 9. Place the marinated scallops on the hot grill grate.
  10. 10. Grill the scallops for three to four minutes.
  11. 11. Turn the scallops once during the grilling process.
  12. 12. Season the cooked scallops with salt and pepper after grilling.
  13. 13. Slice the remaining half of the lemon into thin rounds.
  14. 14. Serve the grilled scallops on plates.
