  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Wash the tomatoes and remove the hard stem ends.
  3. 3. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
  4. 4. Drain the mozzarella.
  5. 5. Slice the mozzarella into thin rounds as well.
  6. 6. Wash the basil and shake it dry.
  7. 7. Roughly chop the basil leaves.
  8. 8. Place the toast bread slices on the oven rack.
  9. 9. Toast the bread slices in the hot oven until crisp.
  10. 10. Season the minced beef with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Shape the meat into 8 flat burger patties.
  12. 12. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  13. 13. Fry the patties in the hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  14. 14. Place a slice of mozzarella on each patty shortly before the cooking time ends.
  15. 15. Spread pesto on four bread slices.
  16. 16. Place the burger patties on the pesto-covered bread slices.
  17. 17. Place the tomato slices on top of the patties.
  18. 18. Season the tomatoes with a little salt and pepper.
  19. 19. Sprinkle the chopped basil over the burgers.
  20. 20. Cover the burgers with the remaining bread slices.
