🥤 Fresh Ginger Limeade

Ingredients
- 125 g fresh ginger
- 1 organic lime
- 1 organic orange
- 250 g sugar
- ice cubes
- 0.5 l soda or mineral water
- 6 tbsp crushed ice
- 6 lime and orange slices
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger and grate it finely.
- 2. Thinly peel the lime and the orange using a vegetable peeler.
- 3. Squeeze the lime and collect the juice.
- 4. Bring 1 liter of water and the sugar to a boil in a pot.
- 5. Add the grated ginger to the boiling water.
- 6. Let the mixture boil for 1 minute.
- 7. Place the citrus peels and the lime juice into a jug.
- 8. Pour the hot ginger water over the peels and juice.
- 9. Let the mixture cool down.
- 10. Place the covered jug in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
- 11. Strain the lemonade through a fine sieve before serving.
- 12. Add one tablespoon of ice to each glass.
- 13. Add one slice of lime and one slice of orange to each glass.
- 14. Top up the glasses with mineral water to taste.
