🍽️ Preserved Sheep's Cheese in Herb Oil

Ingredients
- 400 g sheep's cheese
- 1 shallot
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 thyme sprigs
- 1 parsley sprig
- pepper (from the mill)
- 50 ml olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Cut the sheep's cheese into small cubes.
- 2. Place the cheese cubes into a clean jar.
- 3. Peel the shallot and the garlic.
- 4. Slice the shallot into thin rounds.
- 5. Finely chop the garlic or slice it thinly.
- 6. Add the shallot and garlic pieces to the cheese in the jar.
- 7. Rinse the fresh herb sprigs under running water.
- 8. Shake the herbs dry so no water remains.
- 9. Pluck the leaves from the stems and tear them into smaller pieces.
- 10. Add the herbs to the jar as well.
- 11. Season the contents of the jar with black pepper.
- 12. Pour olive oil over everything until the cheese is completely covered.
- 13. Seal the jar tightly with a lid.
