  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Thoroughly wash the plums and apricots.
  3. 3. Halve the fruits and remove the pits.
  4. 4. Roughly chop the fruit flesh.
  5. 5. Season the chopped fruits with lemon juice, pepper, and cloves.
  6. 6. Stuff the chicken with the fruit mixture.
  7. 7. Secure the chicken opening with wooden skewers.
  8. 8. Grease a roasting pan or baking sheet.
  9. 9. Place the chicken in the prepared pan.
  10. 10. Distribute the remaining fruits and halved garlic bulbs around the chicken.
  11. 11. Pour the broth and wine over the chicken.
  12. 12. Place the chicken in the preheated oven.
  13. 13. Roast the chicken for about 45 minutes.
  14. 14. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  15. 15. Scrape the seeds out of the vanilla pod.
  16. 16. Mix the vanilla seeds with apple juice and jelly.
  17. 17. Brush the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  18. 18. Salt and pepper the chicken to taste.
  19. 19. Place the empty vanilla pod into the roasting liquid.
  20. 20. Continue roasting the chicken for another 15 minutes until browned.
  21. 21. Remove the chicken from the oven.
  22. 22. Keep the chicken warm in the turned-off oven.
  23. 23. Strain the roasting liquid through a sieve.
  24. 24. Thicken the sauce to your liking, for example with cornstarch.
