Ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp ginger (freshly grated)
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp marjoram
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Remove the skin from the chicken drumsticks.
- 2. Rinse the meat pieces under running water.
- 3. Pat the chicken drumsticks completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Whisk curry powder, lemon juice, honey, grated ginger, soy sauce, and marjoram in a small bowl to form a smooth marinade.
- 5. Brush the chicken drumsticks generously with the marinade all over.
- 6. Wrap the brushed drumsticks tightly in aluminum foil.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 8. Place the foil packets on a baking tray and put them in the oven.
- 9. Bake the chicken drumsticks for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 10. Remove the baking tray from the oven and carefully open the aluminum foil.
- 11. Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 12. Switch the oven to the grill function and brown the drumsticks briefly.
- 13. Cut a lemon into thin wedges or slices.
- 14. Serve the hot chicken drumsticks on plates.
- 15. Garnish the dish with the lemon wedges.
- 16. Prepare a fresh radish salad as desired.
- 17. Steam leeks (scallions or spring onions) in a pot with a little water or broth until tender.
- 18. Serve the radish salad and the steamed leeks as a side dish with the chicken.
