🍽️ Fresh Elderflower Lemonade

Ingredients
- 2 handfuls elderflower
- 1 untreated lemon
- 500 g sugar
- 10 g citric acid (from the pharmacy)
Instructions
- 1. Shake the elderflower blossoms vigorously to remove insects.
- 2. Pick out any wilted or damaged parts.
- 3. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
- 4. Slice the lemon into thin rounds.
- 5. Add the sugar and 1 liter of water to a pot.
- 6. Heat the mixture slowly while stirring constantly.
- 7. Bring the liquid to a boil.
- 8. Let it simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
- 9. Allow the sugar syrup mixture to cool down.
- 10. Now add the elderflower blossoms and the lemon slices.
- 11. Transfer everything into a large pot.
- 12. Cover the pot.
- 13. Let the ingredients steep for about two days.
- 14. Strain the lemonade through a fine cloth.
- 15. Use a clean kitchen towel to remove the solid ingredients.
- 16. Bring the clarified liquid back to a boil while stirring.
- 17. Mix in the citric acid.
- 18. Fill the hot lemonade into the prepared bottles.
- 19. Seal them tightly.
- 20. Store them in a cool place.
