🍽️ Elderberry Jam with Pears

Ingredients
- 2 kg elderberries
- 4 pears
- 1 kg jam sugar
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the elderberries.
- 2. Remove the stems and sort out the berries.
- 3. Place the berries in a pot with a little water.
- 4. Cook the berries until they break down.
- 5. Press the cooked berries through a sieve.
- 6. Peel the pears.
- 7. Cut the pears into small pieces.
- 8. Add the pear pieces to the berry mixture.
- 9. Add the sugar.
- 10. Cook the mixture for five minutes while stirring constantly.
- 11. Perform a gel test.
- 12. Fill the hot jam into jars.
- 13. Seal the jars with twist-off lids.
