  2. 2. Remove the stems and sort out the berries.
  3. 3. Place the berries in a pot with a little water.
  4. 4. Cook the berries until they break down.
  5. 5. Press the cooked berries through a sieve.
  6. 6. Peel the pears.
  7. 7. Cut the pears into small pieces.
  8. 8. Add the pear pieces to the berry mixture.
  9. 9. Add the sugar.
  10. 10. Cook the mixture for five minutes while stirring constantly.
  11. 11. Perform a gel test.
  12. 12. Fill the hot jam into jars.
  13. 13. Seal the jars with twist-off lids.
