🍳 Creamy Millet Porridge with Caramelized Plums

Ingredients
- 140 g millet
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 800 ml milk (3.5% fat)
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 300 g plums
- 4 tsp butter
- 2 tsp agave nectar
- 45 g hazelnut kernels (3 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Put the millet and cinnamon into a medium-sized pot.
- 2. Stir in the milk while stirring constantly.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 4. Stir in the maple syrup.
- 5. Cook the millet over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 6. Turn off the heat.
- 7. Let the millet stand for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 8. Wash the plums thoroughly.
- 9. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
- 10. Cut the plums into quarters or eighths, depending on their size.
- 11. Heat the butter in a medium-sized frying pan.
- 12. Add the plums and the agave syrup to the pan.
- 13. Simmer the plums for about 5 to 8 minutes over medium heat.
- 14. Stir occasionally until the plums are soft.
- 15. Heat a frying pan without fat.
- 16. Roast the hazelnut kernels for 3 minutes over medium heat.
- 17. Fill the millet porridge into glasses or small bowls.
- 18. Serve the porridge with the roasted plums and hazelnut kernels.
