  2. 2. Wash the berries only if absolutely necessary to avoid juice loss and water absorption.
  3. 3. Add the lemon juice and jam sugar to the raspberries.
  4. 4. Mix the ingredients well and let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes.
  5. 5. Bring the raspberry mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
  6. 6. Stir the elderberry syrup into the boiling jam.
  7. 7. Boil the jam vigorously for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
  8. 8. Perform a gel test to check the consistency.
  9. 9. Remove the pot from the heat once the jam has reached the desired gel consistency.
  10. 10. Fill the hot jam into hot-rinsed jars to the brim.
  11. 11. Seal the jars immediately with a screw-top lid.
  12. 12. Allow the jars to cool down.
