  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the raspberries under running water.
  2. 2. Remove all green stems and leaves from the berries.
  3. 3. Carefully inspect the raspberries and remove any damaged or unripe fruits.
  4. 4. Gently pat the raspberries dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  5. 5. Place the raspberries and the rock sugar into a sealable bottle.
  6. 6. Slice the vanilla pods lengthwise and add them to the bottle as well.
  7. 7. Pour the vodka over the ingredients in the bottle.
  8. 8. Seal the bottle tightly and place it in a cool, dark spot.
  9. 9. Let the mixture infuse for four weeks.
  10. 10. Shake the bottle occasionally during this time.
  11. 11. Strain the liquid through a fine cloth, such as muslin, into a clean container.
  12. 12. Transfer the finished liqueur into a decorative decanter bottle.
  13. 13. Add a few fresh raspberries as decoration if desired.
