🍽️ Fresh Raspberry Jam

Ingredients
- 1 kg raspberries
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 vanilla pod
- 500 g jam sugar (2:1)
Instructions
- 1. Carefully sort the raspberries and remove any damaged berries.
- 2. Wash the fruit only if absolutely necessary to avoid losing juice.
- 3. Place the raspberries in a bowl.
- 4. Pour the lemon juice over the fruit.
- 5. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise and add it to the bowl as well.
- 6. Sprinkle the pectin sugar over the mixture.
- 7. Stir everything well until the sugar is distributed.
- 8. Let the mixture stand for about 30 minutes.
- 9. Place the pot with the mixture on the stove.
- 10. Heat the mixture while stirring constantly until it boils.
- 11. Let the jam boil vigorously for about 4 minutes.
- 12. Continue stirring while cooking to prevent burning.
- 13. Perform a setting test to check if the jam is firm.
- 14. Remove the pot from the heat as soon as the setting test is successful.
- 15. Fish out the vanilla pod from the warm jam.
- 16. Rinse the jam jars with hot water.
- 17. Fill the hot jam immediately to the brim into the warm jars.
- 18. Seal the jars immediately tightly with screw-top lids.
- 19. Let the sealed jars cool down at room temperature.
