  1. 1. Crush the amaretti cookies into coarse crumbs using a rolling pin.
  2. 2. Place the raspberries and powdered sugar in a saucepan.
  3. 3. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
  4. 4. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. 5. Let the raspberry mixture cool down slightly.
  6. 6. Melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler.
  7. 7. Divide half of the amaretti crumbs among four dessert glasses.
  8. 8. Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream in each glass.
  9. 9. Spread half of the raspberry mixture over the ice cream.
  10. 10. Add the remaining amaretti crumbs to the glasses.
  11. 11. Place another scoop of vanilla ice cream in each glass.
  12. 12. Spread the remaining raspberry mixture on top.
  13. 13. Top the cups with whipped cream.
  14. 14. Drizzle the melted chocolate coating over the cups.
  15. 15. Garnish the cups as desired with fresh berries, sliced almonds, or ice cream cones.
  16. 16. Serve the cups immediately.
