🍽️ Heart-shaped Waffles with Berry Cream

Ingredients
- 150 g mixed berries (frozen)
- 250 g white chocolate coating
- 125 ml whipping cream
- 100 g cream cheese
- 250 g soft butter
- 80 g honey
- 4 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 250 ml milk
- 400 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Vegetable oil (for the waffle iron)
Instructions
- 1. Place the frozen berries on a plate and let them thaw at room temperature.
- 2. Chop the chocolate into coarse pieces and place them in a small bowl.
- 3. Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan.
- 4. Pour the hot cream directly over the chocolate pieces.
- 5. Stir the mixture with a spoon until the chocolate has completely melted.
- 6. Place the bowl with the chocolate cream in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to cool down.
- 7. Beat the butter with the honey, eggs, and a pinch of salt until creamy using a mixer.
- 8. Stir the milk into the butter mixture.
- 9. Add the flour and baking powder and mix everything into a smooth batter.
- 10. Preheat the waffle iron.
- 11. Brush the hot waffle iron with a little oil to prevent sticking.
- 12. Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter into the hot iron.
- 13. Close the waffle iron and bake the waffles for approx. 3 minutes until golden brown.
- 14. Keep the finished waffles warm in the oven at 80 degrees Celsius (convection) if you are not eating them immediately.
- 15. Whip the cooled chocolate cream until creamy using a mixer.
- 16. Stir the cream cheese in a separate bowl until smooth.
- 17. Gently fold the smooth cream cheese mixture into the chocolate cream.
- 18. Add the thawed berries and mix them in very gently so they do not get crushed.
- 19. Serve the berry cream together with the warm waffles.
