Ingredients
- 350 g puff pastry (frozen)
- 2 large tomatoes
- 250 g cherry tomatoes (on the vine)
- 150 g mozzarella
- flour (for the work surface)
- 6 slices Parma ham
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Let the puff pastry thaw at room temperature.
- 3. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 4. Remove the hard stem area from the tomatoes.
- 5. Slice the tomatoes into thin slices.
- 6. Rinse the cherry tomatoes under running water.
- 7. Gently pat the cherry tomatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Let the mozzarella drain well in a sieve.
- 9. Slice the mozzarella into thin slices.
- 10. Sprinkle some flour on your work surface.
- 11. Roll out the puff pastry slightly on the floured surface.
- 12. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 13. Place the puff pastry on the prepared baking tray.
- 14. Form a small edge on the dough.
- 15. Prick the bottom of the dough several times with a fork.
- 16. Top the dough with the ham and mozzarella slices.
- 17. Season the topping lightly with salt.
- 18. Season the topping lightly with pepper.
- 19. Distribute the tomato slices on the topping.
- 20. Distribute the cherry tomatoes on the topping.
- 21. Sprinkle fresh thyme over the pie.
- 22. Season the thyme layer lightly with salt.
- 23. Season the thyme layer lightly with pepper.
- 24. Drizzle the pie with a little olive oil.
- 25. Place the tray in the preheated oven.
- 26. Bake the pie for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 27. Take the pie out of the oven.
- 28. Cut the pie into pieces.
- 29. Serve the pieces immediately.
