🍽️ Spiced Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
- 600 ml Milk
- 30 g Cocoa powder
- 30 g Sugar
- 40 ml Cognac
- 4 Cloves
- 0.5 tsp Ginger powder
- 1 tsp Cardamom pods
- 40 g chopped Almond kernels
- 40 g Raisins
Instructions
- 1. Put the cocoa powder and sugar into a bowl.
- 2. Add two tablespoons of milk.
- 3. Stir the mixture with a spoon until it is smooth and lump-free.
- 4. Put the remaining milk into a saucepan.
- 5. Bring the milk in the saucepan to a boil.
- 6. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- 7. Add the prepared cocoa mixture to the hot milk.
- 8. Whisk everything well together.
- 9. Let the mixture come to a brief boil.
- 10. Remove the saucepan from the heat again.
- 11. Add the cognac and spices to the chocolate.
- 12. Let the mixture steep for about two hours to allow the flavors to develop.
- 13. Pour the liquid through a fine sieve into a clean saucepan.
- 14. This removes the spices and sugar.
- 15. Gently reheat the finished chocolate liquid.
- 16. Divide the almonds and raisins among the cups.
- 17. Pour the hot chocolate over them.
