🍽️ Spiced Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 600 ml milk
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 1 star anise
- 0.5 cinnamon stick
- 1 cardamom pod
- 1 pinch chili powder
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (add more or less to taste)
- Fleur de sel
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
Instructions
- 1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
- 2. Pour the milk and cream into a pot.
- 3. Add the star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, chili, and sugar.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 5. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 6. Stir in the chocolate pieces until they are completely melted.
- 7. Let the chocolate steep for a few minutes.
- 8. Strain the hot chocolate into four cups using a sieve.
- 9. Sprinkle each glass with a pinch of sea salt and ground nutmeg.
- 10. Serve the drink immediately.
