  1. 1. Beat the butter with the sugar and a pinch of salt until the mixture is fluffy and light. Gradually add the flour and knead everything into a smooth dough.
  2. 2. Shape the dough into a roll with a diameter of about 3 centimeters. Wrap it in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  3. 3. Cut slices with a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters from the roll. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes until they are light yellow.
  4. 4. Mix regular sugar with vanilla sugar. Roll the half of the still warm cookies in this mixture so that they are nicely coated.
  5. 5. Crush the chocolate coating (couverture) and melt it slowly. Dip the other half of the cookies halfway into the liquid chocolate, place them on baking paper, and let them set.
