🍳 Fruity Yeast Braided Bread with Sugar Glaze

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 42 g fresh yeast
- 70 g sugar
- 225 ml lukewarm milk
- 125 g butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 200 g mixed dried exotic fruit
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Take some milk and stir in half of the sugar.
- 2. Put the flour into a large bowl.
- 3. Make a well in the center of the flour with your finger.
- 4. Crumble the yeast into the well.
- 5. Mix the yeast with the sugared milk.
- 6. Lightly dust the surface of the dough with a little flour from the edge.
- 7. Cover the bowl.
- 8. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- 9. Knead the remaining sugar, butter, and salt vigorously into the dough.
- 10. Add enough milk until an elastic dough forms.
- 11. Knead the dough again vigorously.
- 12. Cover the bowl again.
- 13. Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
- 14. Dice the dried fruits into small cubes.
- 15. Fold the fruits evenly into the dough.
- 16. Divide the dough into three equal portions.
- 17. Roll each portion into a long strand.
- 18. Braid the three strands together into a loaf.
- 19. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- 20. Bake the loaf in the oven for 45 minutes.
- 21. Let the loaf cool completely.
- 22. Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice to make a glaze.
- 23. Brush the cooled loaf with the glaze.
