  2. 2. Let the yeast milk rise in a warm place for about ten minutes until it foams.
  3. 3. Toast the almonds in a pan without fat until they are fragrant.
  4. 4. Remove the pan from the heat and set the toasted almonds aside.
  5. 5. Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl.
  6. 6. Add all other ingredients and the yeast milk to the bowl.
  7. 7. Process the ingredients using an electric hand mixer with dough hooks.
  8. 8. Knead the dough first on the lowest setting.
  9. 9. Increase the setting to high and knead the dough for about five minutes.
  10. 10. The dough should now be smooth and elastic.
  11. 11. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
  12. 12. Briefly knead the risen dough on a lightly floured work surface.
  13. 13. Divide the dough into three equal pieces.
  14. 14. Roll each piece into a strand about 70 centimeters long.
  15. 15. Braid the three strands together into a plait.
  16. 16. Grease a baking sheet with some fat.
  17. 17. Place the plait on the prepared baking sheet.
  18. 18. Connect the two ends of the plait to form a wreath.
  19. 19. Cover the wreath with a kitchen towel.
  20. 20. Let the wreath rise again for about 20 minutes.
  21. 21. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  22. 22. Put the sliced almonds, honey, cream, and butter into a small saucepan.
  23. 23. Heat the mixture until it comes to a boil.
  24. 24. Simmer the glaze until it turns a light brown color.
  25. 25. Place the yeast wreath in the preheated oven.
  26. 26. Bake the wreath for about 30 minutes.
