  3. 3. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon to the well.
  4. 4. Crumble the yeast on top of the spices.
  5. 5. Mix the ingredients with 3 to 4 tablespoons of lukewarm milk to form a paste.
  6. 6. Cover the bowl.
  7. 7. Let the pre-dough rest for about 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Add the eggs and the soft butter to the pre-dough.
  9. 9. Knead the ingredients well.
  10. 10. Gradually pour in the remaining milk.
  11. 11. Continue kneading until a smooth dough forms.
  12. 12. Knead until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  13. 13. Use a little more milk or flour if needed to reach the right consistency.
  14. 14. Cover the dough.
  15. 15. Let it rest for another 45 minutes.
  16. 16. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  17. 17. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  18. 18. Divide the dough into 8 to 10 equal pieces.
  19. 19. Knead the individual pieces briefly again.
  20. 20. Roll each piece into a rope about 18 centimeters long.
  21. 21. Form a ring from each rope.
  22. 22. Press the ends of the rings firmly together so they hold.
  23. 23. Lightly coat the rings in flour.
  24. 24. Cut diagonal slits around the rings.
  25. 25. Gently pull the slits apart with your hands.
  26. 26. Place the rings on the prepared baking sheet.
  27. 27. Bake the yeast rings for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
