  2. 2. Beat the butter with brown and white sugar, one egg, and a pinch of salt until the mixture is fluffy.
  3. 3. Mix flour, baking powder, spices, and ground almonds and hazelnuts in a separate bowl.
  4. 4. Knead the flour mixture into the butter mixture until a uniform dough forms.
  5. 5. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 4 hours.
  6. 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  7. 7. Dust a work surface with some flour and roll out the dough in portions to a thickness of 4 millimeters.
  8. 8. Cut squares with a side length of 3.5 centimeters from the dough.
  9. 9. Place the cookies on the prepared tray.
  10. 10. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
