Ingredients
- 125 g Butter
- 100 g cane sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp cardamom
- 0.25 tsp ground cloves
- 0.25 tsp lemon zest
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 50 g almond kernels
- 100 g hazelnuts
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Beat the butter with brown and white sugar, one egg, and a pinch of salt until the mixture is fluffy.
- 3. Mix flour, baking powder, spices, and ground almonds and hazelnuts in a separate bowl.
- 4. Knead the flour mixture into the butter mixture until a uniform dough forms.
- 5. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 4 hours.
- 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 7. Dust a work surface with some flour and roll out the dough in portions to a thickness of 4 millimeters.
- 8. Cut squares with a side length of 3.5 centimeters from the dough.
- 9. Place the cookies on the prepared tray.
- 10. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
