  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the spring onions.
  2. 2. Cut the green tops into pieces about 5 centimeters long.
  3. 3. Split the white onion parts in half if necessary.
  4. 4. Wash the parsley and thyme under running water.
  5. 5. Shake the herbs dry.
  6. 6. Pluck the small leaves off the thyme stems.
  7. 7. Heat some oil in a frying pan.
  8. 8. Fry the spring onions over medium heat.
  9. 9. Stir occasionally while doing so.
  10. 10. Let the onions cook for about 3 minutes.
  11. 11. Add the prepared herbs to the pan.
  12. 12. Fry everything together for another 2 minutes.
  13. 13. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  14. 14. Pour the vegetable broth into the pan.
  15. 15. Let the liquid come to a vigorous boil once.
  16. 16. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed.
  17. 17. Take the Harzer cheese out of the packaging.
  18. 18. Place the cheese onto the plates.
  19. 19. Distribute the warm spring onions along with the sauce on top.
  20. 20. Serve the dish immediately with fresh bread.
