  5. 5. Mix the cooled onions with an egg and thyme in a large bowl.
  6. 6. Add the minced meat to the mixture and knead it well.
  7. 7. Fold in the breadcrumbs until the mixture is easy to shape.
  8. 8. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
  9. 9. Shape four equal-sized patties from the mixture.
  10. 10. Heat the remaining oil in a hot frying pan.
  11. 11. Fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
  12. 12. Turn the patties occasionally while frying.
  13. 13. Fry the patties for a total of 6 to 8 minutes.
