🍽️ Classic Hamburgers with Homemade Patties

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil (20 g each)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 400 g beef minced meat
- Breadcrumbs (as needed)

- 4 lettuce leaves (e.g. Lollo bionda)
- 1 red onion
- 1 tomato
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp hot mustard
- 4 burger buns
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan.
- 3. Sauté the onion cubes until they are translucent.
- 4. Let the onions cool down briefly.
- 5. Mix the cooled onions with an egg and thyme in a bowl.
- 6. Add the minced meat to the mixture and stir it in.
- 7. Fold in the breadcrumbs until the mixture is easy to shape.
- 8. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
- 9. Shape the mixture into 4 round patties.
- 10. Heat the remaining oil in a hot frying pan.
- 11. Fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
- 12. Turn the patties occasionally while frying.
- 13. Fry the patties for a total of 6 to 8 minutes.
- 14. Wash the salad greens thoroughly.
- 15. Remove any damaged leaves from the salad.
- 16. Shake the salad dry.
- 17. Tear the salad into bite-sized pieces.
- 18. Peel the onion for the toppings.
- 19. Slice the onion into thin rings.
- 20. Wash the tomato.
- 21. Remove the hard stem area from the tomato.
- 22. Slice the tomato into thin slices.
- 23. Mix the mayonnaise with the mustard in a small bowl.
- 24. Stir the mixture until smooth with no lumps.
- 25. Slice the buns horizontally in the middle.
- 26. Toast the cut sides of the buns until golden brown.
- 27. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the bottom half of the buns.
- 28. Place the prepared salad on the bottom bun.
- 29. Place the fried patties on top of the salad.
- 30. Distribute the tomato slices on top of the patties.
- 31. Place the onion rings on top of the tomatoes.
- 32. Place the top bun on the burger.
- 33. Serve the hamburger immediately.
