  1. 1. Cut the halloumi cheese into approx. 2 cm cubes.
  2. 2. Wash the zucchini and remove the stem end.
  3. 3. Slice the zucchini into approx. 1 cm thick slices.
  4. 4. Peel the onions and cut them into quarters.
  5. 5. Wash the bell peppers and remove the core.
  6. 6. Cut the bell peppers into bite-sized cubes.
  7. 7. Thread the ingredients onto the skewers in an alternating pattern.
  8. 8. Optionally place a bay leaf between the ingredients.
  9. 9. Mix the herbs with the oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  10. 10. Brush the skewers with the herb mixture.
  11. 11. Let the skewers rest briefly to allow the flavors to infuse.
  12. 12. Prepare the charcoal grill or preheat the oven with the grill function.
  13. 13. Place the skewers on the grill rack.
  14. 14. Place a baking tray under the rack to catch dripping juice.
  15. 15. Grill the skewers for approx. 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
  16. 16. Turn the skewers frequently while grilling.
