🍽️ Halloumi Vegetable Skewers

Ingredients
- 200 g Halloumi
- 1 Zucchini
- 2 red onions
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tsp freshly chopped oregano
- 1 tsp freshly chopped thyme
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the halloumi cheese into approx. 2 cm cubes.
- 2. Wash the zucchini and remove the stem end.
- 3. Slice the zucchini into approx. 1 cm thick slices.
- 4. Peel the onions and cut them into quarters.
- 5. Wash the bell peppers and remove the core.
- 6. Cut the bell peppers into bite-sized cubes.
- 7. Thread the ingredients onto the skewers in an alternating pattern.
- 8. Optionally place a bay leaf between the ingredients.
- 9. Mix the herbs with the oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- 10. Brush the skewers with the herb mixture.
- 11. Let the skewers rest briefly to allow the flavors to infuse.
- 12. Prepare the charcoal grill or preheat the oven with the grill function.
- 13. Place the skewers on the grill rack.
- 14. Place a baking tray under the rack to catch dripping juice.
- 15. Grill the skewers for approx. 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
- 16. Turn the skewers frequently while grilling.
