  2. 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper to prevent the tomatoes from sticking.
  3. 3. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
  4. 4. Remove the green stems from the tomatoes.
  5. 5. Cut the tomatoes in half.
  6. 6. Place the tomato halves on the tray with the cut side facing up.
  7. 7. Peel the garlic cloves.
  8. 8. Finely chop the garlic.
  9. 9. Distribute the garlic pieces evenly over the tomatoes.
  10. 10. Season the tomatoes generously with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Drizzle everything with the olive oil.
  12. 12. Place the tray in the oven and bake the tomatoes for about 1 hour.
  13. 13. Remove the tomatoes from the oven.
  14. 14. Serve the semi-dried tomatoes as an appetizer.
  15. 15. Serve with fresh ciabatta bread.
