🍽️ Rose Hip Jam

Ingredients
- 400 g rosehip
- 250 g jam sugar (ratio 1:1)
- 4 cloves
- 1 untreated lemon (zested peel and juice)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the rose hips thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the rose hips in half.
- 3. Remove the seeds and hairs from the inside.
- 4. Pour 150 milliliters of water over the prepared rose hips.
- 5. Let the mixture stand overnight.
- 6. Cook the rose hips soft in the soaking water the next day.
- 7. Puree the cooked rose hips into a pulp.
- 8. Press the pulp through a fine sieve to obtain a smooth paste.
- 9. Mix the rose hip paste with the lemon juice.
- 10. Add the lemon zest to the mixture.
- 11. Weigh the finished paste mixture.
- 12. Put the weighed amount of paste into a pot.
- 13. Add jam sugar in the same amount as the paste.
- 14. Add the cloves to the pot.
- 15. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 16. Let the jam simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring.
- 17. Fill the hot jam immediately into prepared jars.
- 18. Seal the jars tightly.
- 19. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids.
- 20. Let the jars cool down for 15 minutes.
- 21. Turn the jars over after cooling.
- 22. Let the jam cool down completely.
