  1. 1. Wash the rose hips thoroughly.
  2. 2. Cut the rose hips in half.
  3. 3. Remove the seeds and hairs from the inside.
  4. 4. Pour 150 milliliters of water over the prepared rose hips.
  5. 5. Let the mixture stand overnight.
  6. 6. Cook the rose hips soft in the soaking water the next day.
  7. 7. Puree the cooked rose hips into a pulp.
  8. 8. Press the pulp through a fine sieve to obtain a smooth paste.
  9. 9. Mix the rose hip paste with the lemon juice.
  10. 10. Add the lemon zest to the mixture.
  11. 11. Weigh the finished paste mixture.
  12. 12. Put the weighed amount of paste into a pot.
  13. 13. Add jam sugar in the same amount as the paste.
  14. 14. Add the cloves to the pot.
  15. 15. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
  16. 16. Let the jam simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring.
  17. 17. Fill the hot jam immediately into prepared jars.
  18. 18. Seal the jars tightly.
  19. 19. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids.
  20. 20. Let the jars cool down for 15 minutes.
  21. 21. Turn the jars over after cooling.
  22. 22. Let the jam cool down completely.
