  1. 1. Wash the rosehips thoroughly the day before. Cut them open, remove the seeds (preferably wearing gloves), and place them in 500 milliliters of water. Let the fruits soak overnight.
  2. 2. The next day, cook the rosehips together with the soaking water until soft. Puree the mixture and press it through a fine sieve to obtain a smooth pulp.
  3. 3. Peel the oranges carefully with a sharp knife, removing the white bitter pith as well. Cut the fruit flesh segments out of the membranes and catch the released juice. Squeeze the juice from the remaining orange peels and pieces.
  4. 4. Mix the rosehip pulp with the orange segments, the caught juice, and the orange zest. Weigh the mixture and add it to a pot along with the appropriate amount of jam sugar (according to the package instructions).
  5. 5. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring and let it bubble vigorously for 5 to 10 minutes. Fill the jam immediately into the prepared jars. Seal the jars tightly, place them upside down on their lids to cool for 10 minutes, then turn them over and let them cool completely.
