  1. 1. Put the oats, milk, and a pinch of salt into a pot.
  2. 2. Heat the mixture and stir constantly until it thickens into a porridge.
  3. 3. Stir the pear syrup into the hot oatmeal.
  4. 4. Remove the pot from the heat and let the porridge cool down for a moment.
  5. 5. Wash the pear thoroughly under running water.
  6. 6. Cut the pear into four equal quarters.
  7. 7. Remove the hard core from the center of the pear quarters.
  8. 8. Cut the pear quarters into very thin slices.
  9. 9. Drizzle the pear slices with lemon juice immediately to prevent them from browning.
  10. 10. Spoon the oatmeal into individual bowls.
  11. 11. Place the pear slices and cranberry compote on top as a garnish.
  12. 12. Serve the breakfast immediately.
