Ingredients
- 3 slices pumpernickel
- 200 g cream cheese
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp crème fraîche
- 1 tbsp freshly grated horseradish
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 150 g smoked trout
- 3 tbsp freshly grated horseradish
Instructions
- 1. Use a round cookie cutter (approx. 4 cm in diameter) to cut small circles out of the bread.
- 2. Mix the cream cheese with the lemon juice, crème fraîche, and horseradish in a bowl.
- 3. Season the cream cheese mixture to taste with salt and pepper.
- 4. Fill the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- 5. Pipe the cream cheese mixture onto the previously cut pumpernickel circles.
- 6. Break the smoked salmon into rough pieces.
- 7. Place one piece of smoked salmon on each cream cheese-topped circle.
- 8. Finally, sprinkle the bites with freshly grated horseradish and serve.
